Kids just want to have fun. We get that. But for any parent, safety takes priority. When you choose Kids Beyond Borders, we recognize that you’re entrusting us with your child. It’s a privilege we don’t take lightly. We hope these details will give you peace of mind, but if you still have questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to ask.

ADULT SUPERVISION

Students will be accompanied by their teachers as well as adult chaperones, with a minimum ratio of one adult for every 10 students. KBB averages one adult for every four students. The chaperones are typically parents, grandparents, or other responsible adults from the students’ community. With the Hands-Free Option, a KBB tour director—who students, teachers and parents will already be familiar with from the planning process—will be with the group 24/7. This person is an expert in the destination and will do everything possible to give the group a safe and enjoyable experience.

STUDENT BEHAVIOR

Several months before the trip, KBB staff will communicate our expectations of the students to be respectful and safe. Students will be asked to sign an agreement, demonstrating their compliance to KBB’s expectations. Any student who is disruptive or poses a threat to the safety of the group during a trip will be sent home early.

MEDICAL SUPPORT

Each tour member will be covered by our emergency illness and accident coverage plan. If needed, our staff will seek medical support. The KBB group leader will make sure any allergies, dietary restrictions, medication and other special needs are cared for. Limitations may apply. If you have any questions, please talk to your KBB Admissions Executive.

ITINERARY

KBB plans the itinerary for each day—including hotels, restaurants, activities and tourist attractions—with the group’s safety in mind. We make sure that the sites we visit are appropriate for students and can accommodate large groups.
